There are many kinds of computer's components that maybe confuse you.
Yeah, for example, CPU,APU and GPU. What is the difference between these components?. Now I'll tell you what is the difference between CPU,APU and GPU that maybe help you to find out what is the running components on your computer.
CPU (Processor)
CPU or Central Processing Unit is a chip that run every process on the computer (eg. Booting, software and game) without CPU, the computer won't be running. AMD and Intel Processor are the most used CPU until now because of its quality.
GPU (know as VGA)
GPU or Graphical Processing Unit is a component that processes your Computer display. Without it, the monitor won't show anything. There 2 kinds of GPU : Card (Installed on PCI-Express Slot) and Chip / Integrated Chip.
APU
APU or Accelerated Processing Unit is the combination of CPU and GPU. This component uses for give fast processing because the two components (CPU and GPU) is connected and besides its smaller and efficient. But APU is not recommended for High end Gaming experience.
